For a modern home or contemporary renovation, we recommend clean finishes such as square-set corners or P50 shadow line systems around the ceiling perimeter. These options create sharp lines and a sleek, modern appearance.
For heritage homes or older properties, traditional finishes such as ornamental plasterwork or larger profile cornices can help maintain the character and style of the home while adding a quality finishing detail.
A sagging ceiling can be caused by several issues, including movement over time, moisture damage, or a plasterboard becoming loose from the ceiling joists. The severity of the sag and the condition of the plasterboard will determine the best repair solution.
Minor sagging that is identified early may be able to be repaired by carefully propping the ceiling and re-securing the plasterboard back into the ceiling joists.
More severe sagging, especially where there is water damage or the plasterboard has deteriorated, a full ceiling replacement is required to ensure the ceiling is safe and properly restored.
